Also known as toxemia of pregnancy, preeclampsia is a problem that occurs in some women during pregnancy. The risk of preeclampsia is higher in women with multiple pregnancies, teenage mothers and women over 40 years of age. Also included are those with high blood pressure or kidney disease. The fetus, most women with preeclampsia still deliver healthy babies. A few develop eclampsia. Preeclampsia can prevent the placenta which provides air and food to your baby getting enough blood.

Commonly baby’s known with breath that is sweet and pleasant. However, as parents we know this is not always true because babies can and do have bad breath. Yes, hundreds of mothers have reported this condition, and many of them have felt a little embarrassed about how bad breath can smell their baby.

The smell of your baby’s mouth is something that should not be left unattended or ignored. Depending on the impurities in the breath, can be a serious infection. This could be a strep throat or mouth, or thebabies sinusitis can cause bad breath. So, if you have noticed frequent smelly breath, consult with your doctor to identify the cause. Ask your child’s doctor to check the gums and teeth of your child, and if doctors find certain problems related to your baby’s breath, and then also see your dentist.

Baby bad breath can also be a result of mouth breathing versus nose breathing. Mouth breathing usually occurs soon after the baby is sleeping. This really is a condition in which the muscles relax in baby’s mouth and saliva production drops, leaving the mouth dry. After a dry mouth, bacteria tend to grow. The longer the period of the baby slept, the higher the number of bacteria in the baby’s mouth increases. This is actually one of the reasons that babies and adults all have what is called morning breath.

So to prevent this in the future, it is best to clean your baby’s mouth the first time in the morning. As your child gets older, you can teach the proper way to brush teeth, and you can even teach them how to clean the tongue to remove any bad breath.

Finally, your baby may develop bad breath if he sucks his thumb. Thumb will tend to dry up, creating an ideal environment for odor-causing bacteria to grow and develop. This also applies when you use a baby sucking a pacifier or a toy or blanket. What is important for you to realize is thatbabies bad breath can be made more powerful if it happens that the object your child has been repeatedly exposed to suck the saliva of their mouths or bacteria.

To control the growth of bacteria in your mouth, make sure that your child’s hands washed properly. Also, never let her suck toys, un-sterilized pacifier, or other things like that. If you want him to play with a pacifier, make sure that you have sterilized it. Finally, try to encourage your child to stop sucking habit if you can. Of course, that may seem easier said than done, but you have to keep trying.
